80g porridge oats
50g wholemeal self raising flour
50g ground or flaked almonds
1 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tbsp of honey or maple syrup
1 flax egg
flax seeds & water

Too good to be true!
Heat the oven to 180C or 160C if fan assisted.
Soak the dates in a small about of hot water for 10 mins, remove the stones and blend with a little bit of the water to make a paste.
Blend this paste with the honey/maple syrup and flax egg and set aside.
Mix the dry ingredients together and add the liquid mix - stir the mixture together.
Drop heaped dessertspoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet covered with grease proof paper and cook for approximately 15 mins or until golden brown.
They should be golden but still a bit squidgy in the middle. Let them cool a little before you eat them! I find I always have to make two batches as we always polish off the first batch before the oven has cooled!
